In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also adds the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a original environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
